Linda Pelafigue Hull is a wife, mother and artist. Linda and her husband Warren have lived
all over the U. S.as he pursued a military career. Her interest in art began in 1968 when she
took her first class in oils. Linda's passion for art continued when they were stationed in
California, she enrolled at San Bernardino Valley College, taking classes in sculpting, drawing
and watercolor. Stationed in San Antonio, Texas where her interest in color and design led
her to St. Mary's University, there she studied interior design and took more art classes.
After a move to Washington, D. C. Linda worked as a design consultant.
Upon retirement they moved home to Lousiana and have lived in Baton Rouge since 1993.
Though Linda was involved in many activities, her passion for art was always there. She
began taking classes and workshops to hone her skills; travels to Europe have also inspired
some of her work. Linda now works full time as an artist. Notable in her work is the use of
variable media, a sense of design and love of creative experimentation.
Linda found a new way to create her art, she was asked to paint flowers on fabric for pillows,
after some experimentation she discovered which fabrics would work with her paints, could
be dry cleaned and not affect her work. Linda's work can be found at Martin's Framing and
Gallery in Bocage Village Shopping Center.
"If you create from the heart, nearly everything works; if from the head, almost nothing".
Marc Chagall (1887 -1985)
